Search Mohave County Court Dockets

Case type and filing court change the route every time in Mohave County. Superior Court in Kingman keeps the major cases for Mohave County, Arizona, while the Justice Courts and the municipal courts keep tickets and smaller matters. The statewide public index gives the first layer of detail for public cases, and the local clerks and judge calendars give the next. Read the case entry, then follow it. A public entry leads to a current hearing setting, a filed document, or a certified record from the court that holds the file, and a Mohave County court docket lookup is the map for that trip.

Mohave County Docket Search Fields

Public Access lets you search by name or by case number. A name search requires a last or business name. Adding a first name or date of birth narrows common names. The Court field then keeps a Bullhead Municipal case from getting tangled with a Bullhead Justice case. The number route works in two parts. A prefix such as TR comes first. The numeric body follows, like 19010111. One caution applies to the vehicle registration hold box. It only filters traffic-focused results, and it does not clear a hold.

Statewide data updates weekly, with a midweek cutoff. If a hearing gets set or moved late in the week, check the local calendar and the clerk.

What a Court Docket Shows

Arizona systems may call it case information or case history, but the public docket is simply a chronological index. Depending on what the originating court supplies, it can list the court, case number, type, filing date, status, parties and their roles, charges or claims, event entries, disposition, and future activity. It does not always include the filed pages behind each event. Confidential identifiers get masked. Whole categories may be withheld from remote access.

Case NumberThe court-assigned identifier, including its category prefix.
PartiesPublic names and roles such as State, plaintiff, defendant, petitioner, or respondent.
Case HistoryFiled and court-generated events arranged by date.
Hearing SettingsDate, time, setting type, judge, courtroom, and public result when supplied.
Charges or ClaimsPublic offense counts or civil case category and related entries.
DispositionThe recorded outcome for a count, claim, or case, which may require a later judgment or minute entry for context.

A blank result does not mean cancellation. In the same way, a "Document Not Available Online" notice can simply mean no public image is linked. The event may still sit right there on the Mohave County docket.

Mohave County Docket Record Layers

Think of Mohave County court records in three layers. The docket, or case history, tells you what happened. A filed document is the pleading, minute entry, order, exhibit, or judgment behind a given event. A certified copy is a clerk-authenticated reproduction. Free Public Access usually covers the first layer. Arizona eAccess may provide public civil and criminal Superior Court documents filed on or after July 1, 2010. For certification, or records outside the online coverage, go to the proper clerk.

The Arizona eAccess source spells out its document coverage and its account-based service.

That separate document layer matters. Finding an event in case history does not guarantee a free, clickable filing behind it.

Which Courts Keep Dockets

Arizona runs one Superior Court, organized by county. The Mohave County version hears felonies, major civil cases, family, probate, and juvenile matters. Authorized appeals and special actions land there too. Four Justice Court locations handle precinct matters. Municipal Courts take city cases. Federal litigation lives elsewhere, in PACER and the federal clerk system. It is not part of the Mohave County court docket.

The Mohave Courts overview lays out the local court levels. It helps you pick the correct branch.

Mohave County court docket court-level overview

The level matters more than it seems. A Superior Court clerk cannot certify a city traffic docket that a Municipal Court keeps.

Mohave County Justice Court Dockets

Four Justice Court locations serve Mohave County. They are Kingman/Cerbat, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu, and North Canyon. Their dockets cover county ordinances, precinct misdemeanors, traffic, protective orders, evictions, and small claims. Limited civil cases within their jurisdiction appear there too. A felony can start with a Justice Court initial appearance or preliminary stage. It may later pick up a new Superior Court number. Those two identifiers track linked but distinct parts of the case.

The official Justice Courts source describes each local court and its jurisdiction.

That four-area structure matters across Mohave County's wide geography. The North Canyon court serves the Arizona Strip.

Visitors to a Justice Court check in at the counter in person. Published rules bar weapons, food, drink, hats, "colors," and sunglasses. Children under fourteen need prior approval. Staff can confirm logistics, though they cannot advise a party on what to argue.

Finding Court Dates and Settings

Mohave County does not offer one county-wide date search. It uses a judge-first calendar directory instead. Start from the assigned division or limited court. Its name appears on the newest notice or case entry. Then compare the calendar's date, time, full case number, hearing type, judge, and courtroom. Superior Court division calendars post as current snapshots, not a searchable archive, and they can change after publication.

The official Mohave calendar directory links Superior Court divisions, commissioners, Justice Courts, and Municipal Court calendars.

Mohave County court docket calendar directory

In that directory, the assigned judge or court is the key to a live setting.

Old results can clash with a later setting. Trust the newest filed notice or minute entry. A continuance or reset leaves the old event in case history. It moves the active date. For a dependable fallback, work case detail first, then the judge calendar, then the filed notice, then the division clerk by phone or at the counter. The full Mohave County Court Calendar reference explains local setting labels and what to do about a missed date.

Mohave County Docket Assignment Changes

Saved judge pages age fast. Mohave County added judicial officers and shifted assignments in 2025 and 2026, with some of the work tied to a new Superior Court division. The current administrative order controls, not an older directory. So before opening any calendar, a docket search should confirm the present assignment. The current judicial-officer directory shows divisions and limited-court assignments.

Mohave County court docket judicial officer assignments

Current assignments matter. They turn a case number into the correct calendar, without assuming the judge in an older saved result still controls it.

Setting
A scheduled court event with a date, time, and purpose.
Reset
A later date that replaces an earlier setting while leaving the old event in history.
Minute entry
The written court record of a proceeding or ruling.
Disposition
The recorded result of a charge, claim, or case.

Public Access to Dockets

Rule 123 of the Arizona Supreme Court is the main access framework for judicial records in the Superior, Justice, Municipal, appellate, and Supreme Courts. Remote viewing can be narrower than inspection in person. Some records sit outside statewide Public Access by design. Sealed matters and Orders of Protection are excluded. Mental-health and probate cases are excluded too, and so is victim or witness data. Juvenile, adoption, and other protected information carries special limits too. A missing online result does not prove that no Mohave County docket exists.

Key Arizona access rules:

Arizona Supreme Court Rule 123 defines court records, custodians, closed records, remote access, and review of denials.

A.R.S. § 39-121 states Arizona’s general public-record inspection principle.

A.R.S. § 39-121.01 addresses maintenance, inspection, mailed copies, costs, prompt response, and withholding explanations.

A court-case request goes to the judicial custodian under Rule 123. Mohave County's administrative public-record channel is separate. It cannot replace the Clerk or limited court that actually holds the case file.

Mohave County Docket Access Failures

Several different screens can all read as nothing found. A sealed or excluded matter may be absent on purpose. A blank hearing result may mean nothing has been entered yet. A missing document icon can signal that no public image is linked. Older civil and criminal Superior Court files may fall before the eAccess coverage line. Probate is excluded from statewide Public Access. The Superior Court Clerk maintains the file anyway.

When a Mohave County docket search fails, verify the exact case number and court first. Then broaden the name search. Next, contact the office that owns the record. Ask whether it exists but is restricted. Ask whether a redacted copy can be produced. Ask whether an older file needs archive retrieval. Parties and counsel may have authenticated access the public view does not offer.

Note: online absence, a blank calendar result, and an unavailable document are three different outcomes. Check each through the owning court.

The Clerk and Docket Records

Christina Spurlock is the elected Clerk of the Superior Court in Mohave County. Her office receives filings and enters orders and judgments. It also supports jury selection and handles court financial transactions. It maintains Superior Court case records. It is not the custodian of every Mohave County docket, though. Justice and Municipal Court clerks control their own files. The official Superior Court Clerk page describes the office and its services.

The Clerk runs three public counters plus remote request routes. Those options serve Mohave County residents when eAccess lacks the needed image.

Card payments over the phone take Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. A 2.39 percent convenience fee gets added. Ask for a current quote before you order any copies.

Mohave County Docket Payment Routing

Searching a case and paying it are separate tasks. Mohave County's directory routes payments court by court. Each court and vendor may use a different destination. So confirm the exact court printed on the citation or case entry before entering a number or card details. A city ticket belongs with the Municipal Court route. A county or state citation may belong with a Justice Court instead. The official Mohave court payment directory displays those court-specific choices.

Mohave County court docket payment directory by court

The routing screen repeats one central rule. Identify the court first, then use that court's docket, calendar, clerk, and payment path.

Paying or filing through the wrong court does not move a case. Match the case header, citation, and payment destination before submitting anything.

Mohave County Docket Scale

Mohave County spans a lot of ground. Three Superior Court service locations and four Justice Court areas serve its dispersed population. The FY2025 annual report counted 51,273 visitors at Kingman Superior Court. Kingman/Cerbat Justice drew 25,471, and the Bullhead Judicial Facility logged 39,754. Lake Havasu courts counted 36,621. North Canyon added 2,364. These are facility visits, not case filings or docket totals.

51,273Kingman Superior visitors, FY2025
39,754Bullhead Judicial Facility visitors, FY2025
36,621Lake Havasu court visitors, FY2025
2,364North Canyon court visitors, FY2025

Those counts explain why online index, phone, mail, and counter channels all matter. They measure traffic, not outcomes or judicial workload. Case types also differ. Because different types consume different amounts of court time, raw filings should not be treated as equal units of work.

Mohave County Docket Technology

Mohave County's court technology runs in layers. Arizona Public Access holds the broad case index for anyone tracing a court docket. eAccess opens eligible Superior Court documents. eFileAZ and AZTurboCourt handle supported filing channels. AJACS sits inside the case-management infrastructure. Live court dates live in Mohave's calendar directory. Each clerk still keeps the official record.

The county's administrative-order archive collects dated governance and assignment changes. Saved directories go stale when a division or assignment shifts. Current orders and calendars are the safer bet.

A statewide filing-fee increase took effect in late 2024. It forced updates across AJACS, AZTurboCourt, and eFileAZ. Mohave's technology planning for 2026 through 2028 keeps building on document and data portals. That plan also covers AJACS support and secure repositories. Expect public, document, and confidential access to stay as separate layers.

Court Dockets by City in Mohave County

Four incorporated cities make up Mohave County, per the official 2020 Census place ranking. Each one has its own route to a city docket. That said, a city court never absorbs county or Superior Court jurisdiction. Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City, and Kingman each run a Municipal Court. Colorado City's municipal and Justice functions both operate through North Canyon Consolidated Court. Fort Mohave and other large communities stay unincorporated. So no city court pages exist for them.

Lake Havasu City Court Docket

57,144 residents in the 2020 Census. Start with the Municipal Court for city citations and keep its calendar separate from Lake Havasu Justice Court.

Bullhead City Court Docket

41,348 residents in the 2020 Census. Marina Boulevard Municipal Court and Trane Road Justice Court keep different files.

Kingman Court Docket

32,689 residents in the 2020 Census. Municipal, Justice, Superior, and jury functions use four distinct Kingman addresses.

Colorado City Court Docket

2,478 residents in the 2020 Census. North Canyon combines local and precinct court functions for the Arizona Strip.

Match the card to the city named on your citation or notice. A city appeal or felony case can still reach Superior Court later. Major civil, family, probate, and felony trials never begin on a Municipal Court docket, though.

Map and Directions to the Clerk of the Superior Court in Mohave County

Superior Court case files for Mohave County are kept at the Clerk of the Superior Court's Kingman counter, 415 E. Spring Street, the county's main records window and the mail/fax research hub for the whole court. It is a separate address from the Kingman jury-reporting courthouse at 301 Pine Street and from the Kingman/Cerbat Justice Court on Beale Street, so a visitor headed to Spring Street should not expect jury or Justice Court business there. The Clerk keeps two more public counters for residents on the east and south sides of the county, at 2225 Trane Road in Bullhead City and 2001 College Drive in Lake Havasu City.

No official page reviewed describes courthouse parking, entrance screening, or terminal counts for this location, so calling ahead remains the safest plan before a trip.
