How to Search the Kingman Court Docket
Match the court to the case first. A city citation belongs to Kingman Municipal Court. Kingman/Cerbat Justice Court takes precinct traffic, misdemeanors, evictions, small claims, and limited civil matters. It also handles the preliminary stages of felony cases. The Superior Court Clerk holds the bigger files. Think felony trials, major civil, family, probate, and juvenile. For a docket search by name or case number, Arizona Public Access covers participating courts across the state.
- Read the exact Kingman court on the citation or notice.
- Select that court in the statewide lookup.
- Enter the full case number or narrow a name search.
- Compare status, event history, and future settings.
- Call the Kingman custodian when the result is absent or incomplete.
Statewide results leave plenty out. Sealed files, protective orders, mental-health cases, probate, and victim or witness information never appear there. So a blank Kingman result does not mean no record exists.
Four Kingman Court Addresses
Kingman splits its court functions across four addresses. Municipal Court sits at 219 N. Fourth Street, phone 928-753-8193. Kingman/Cerbat Justice Court is at 524 W. Beale Street, 928-753-0710. Superior Court records are kept at 415 E. Spring Street, 928-753-0713. Jury reporting may point instead to 301 Pine Street. Walk up to the wrong Kingman doorway. Your date check or records request stalls.

Follow the address printed on your current Kingman notice. A jury building is not always the counter that issues a certified docket.
The Kingman Municipal Court
Kingman Municipal Court handles city traffic, ordinance, misdemeanor, protective-order, and limited juvenile matters. Its hours are unusual: Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed Friday. Anyone who assumes standard weekday business hours may arrive to find the city court dark. The official Kingman Municipal Court page is the right city source. Check it for city procedures. Then confirm the Kingman docket through the statewide index or the municipal clerk. That municipal record stays separate from Justice Court and Superior Court files.
Kingman Court in a Schoolhouse
The 1896 Little Red School House now houses Kingman Municipal Court. Classes met there until 1928. Afterward the building welcomed churches, the Elks, a World War II ration board, the chamber of commerce, and a library. It joined the local historic register in 1974. Then it was renovated for court use in 1992. None of that makes the schoolhouse a one-stop Kingman records office. City docket requests stay with Municipal Court. Justice records stay on Beale Street. Superior Court copies stay with the Spring Street Clerk. The split is procedural, not just geographic.
Kingman Court Dates and Settings
The Mohave calendar directory is organized by judge. Pick Kingman Municipal, Kingman/Cerbat Justice, or the Superior Court division named on your notice. Check the full case number, date, time, judge, and setting type. Calendars show the current snapshot, not a permanent archive.
| Date | The latest Kingman setting, after any reset. |
|---|---|
| Time | The listed appearance or docket-call time. |
| Court | Municipal, Kingman/Cerbat Justice, or Superior. |
| Judge | The assigned judicial officer or division. |
| Setting type | Arraignment, pretrial, hearing, trial, or sentencing. |
A continuance moves a hearing but leaves the old event sitting in the record. The newest filed notice, or word from the clerk, controls.
Kingman Active-Warrant Walk-Ins
Kingman Municipal Court hears active-warrant walk-ins on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. Call the court on the day you plan to appear. Bring payment if the matter involves failure to pay. Or bring proof of counseling reenrollment when that applies. The court warns that showing up can lead to arrest.
Confirm before appearing: Call Kingman Municipal Court on the day of an active-warrant walk-in and follow the court’s current instructions.
A warrant entry can be old and already quashed. Read the newest Kingman docket event instead of assuming an old entry reflects present status. And a city warrant never belongs at the Justice or Superior counter.
Kingman Traffic Tickets
Venue follows the officer who wrote the ticket. A Kingman police citation normally lands in Municipal Court. State or county traffic inside the precinct may go to Kingman/Cerbat Justice Court instead. Read the printed response date, and note whether the matter is civil or criminal. Criminal traffic demands an appearance. Civil traffic leaves room to pay, take an eligible defensive-driving course, or request a hearing. The Mohave ePayment directory routes payments by court. Confirm Kingman Municipal or Kingman/Cerbat Justice before you proceed. Paying or pleading responsible waives a civil hearing. Asking for a contested hearing gives up defensive driving. The wider citation process is covered in Mohave County traffic court records.
Kingman Court Activity by Location
Official FY2025 counts logged 51,273 visitors at Kingman Superior Court and 25,471 at Kingman/Cerbat Justice Court. Those are facility visits, not Kingman filing totals. The numbers justify separate counters and calendars. They reveal no private case data and do not imply each visitor opened a case.
Kingman serves as the county seat. That role makes the Spring Street Clerk the central mail, fax, and research hub for Superior Court records across all of Mohave County.
Where Kingman Cases End Up
Kingman Municipal Court conducts no felony trials and no major civil cases. Felony preliminary stages belong to Kingman/Cerbat Justice. The later felony trial docket moves to Superior Court. That path can produce one Justice number. A later Superior number may cover the same case. When the procedural history shows a transfer, search both courts.

Superior Court documents may be online. Eligible public civil and criminal filings dated after July 1, 2010 can appear in eAccess. Public Access gives index and event data, eAccess gives the documents, and certified copies come from the Clerk.
Kingman Clerk Copy Channels
Copies of a Kingman court record start with the Spring Street Clerk. Walk in, or mail your request to P.O. Box 7000, Kingman, AZ 86402. The clerk also takes email at clerkofcourt@mohavecourts.com. Faxes go to 928-718-4930 marked "Attn: Research Clerk," and calls to 928-753-0713 extension 4089. Send a fax and expect a payment call within three business days.
For county records outside a court case, the Mohave public-record request source explains the process. It shows how the county handles those requests.

County administrative records follow a different track than Kingman court cases. A case filing goes to the clerk of the court that holds it, along with the case number, caption, document title, and the approximate filing date.
Public Access to Kingman Court Records
Arizona Supreme Court Rule 123 governs who may see Kingman judicial records. What you can pull remotely may be narrower. What you can view at the counter may be broader. Sealed and otherwise protected files stay off limits. Ask the clerk three things: whether a record exists but is nonpublic, whether a redacted copy can be issued, and which request or motion fits your situation.
Key rules:
Arizona Supreme Court Rule 123 defines court records and access limits.
A.R.S. §39-121 states the general public inspection principle.
A.R.S. §39-121.01 addresses maintenance, copies, costs, and prompt response.
A Kingman court event listing is not a certified copy. Certification comes from the Municipal Court, the Justice Court, or the Superior Clerk, whichever one holds the file.
When a Kingman Docket Is Missing
Start with the exact court and case number. A docket rarely hides on the first try. Broaden the name search and check the current Kingman calendar next. Felony cases that began as preliminary matters may sit in both Justice Court and Superior Court, so search both levels. When a case is new, old, restricted, or missing a document image, call the clerk who holds it.
- Case history
- The chronological Kingman event index.
- Reset
- A moved setting whose old entry remains visible.
- Minute entry
- The written court record of a proceeding or ruling.
- Certified copy
- A clerk-authenticated copy from the actual Kingman custodian.
A blank result, an empty hearing outcome, and a missing document icon each mean something different. Confirm which one you are seeing with the court before concluding anything about the Kingman case.
Kingman Docket Fields and Documents
A Kingman Public Access result opens with a case header. It shows the court, case number, case type, filing or complaint date, status, and caption. Party blocks assign roles like State, defendant, plaintiff, petitioner, or respondent. The case history lists filings, minute entries, settings, pleas, orders, judgments, and dispositions. A Kingman calendar adds date, time, judge, courtroom, and setting type. But a calendar does not replace the full history.
Read the layers in order. Confirm the court and the number first. Then place each event by date, and tell a scheduled hearing apart from one that was held or canceled. A motion is only a request, never a ruling. A minute entry records what happened at a proceeding or a decision the judge made. A continuance moves a setting forward but leaves the old date in place. A disposition is a recorded result. Ask for the named Kingman filing instead of guessing from a short label.
For Superior Court copies, the Spring Street Clerk takes walk-in requests Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mail goes to P.O. Box 7000, Kingman, AZ 86402, email to clerkofcourt@mohavecourts.com, and faxes to 928-718-4930 marked "Attn: Research Clerk." Phone research runs through 928-753-0713 extension 4089. With a fax request, expect a return call within three business days to take card payment.
Some Superior Court civil and criminal documents filed after July 1, 2010 are available through eAccess. Its first-page preview is unofficial. When a document will not open online, that usually means no public image is linked. It does not mean the Kingman filing never existed. Older material may sit in archive storage. Ask about lead time, and say whether you need a plain, certified, exemplified, or authenticated copy.
The Superior schedule sets $0.50 per page for copies. Certification costs $35 per document. Locating research costs $35, and postage and handling costs $8. Those figures do not govern Kingman Municipal or Kingman/Cerbat Justice records. Each limited court keeps its own file and fee schedule, so request a quote from the actual Kingman custodian.
Kingman Case Search Cross-Check
Before trusting a Kingman result, compare the details. Check the court, the case number, the caption, party roles, case type, filing date, status, and the newest hearing. A city citation belongs to Kingman Municipal Court. A precinct matter belongs to Kingman/Cerbat Justice Court. A felony trial or general civil file belongs to Superior Court. The city name alone does not settle custody, since one Kingman docket search can return several courts at once.
Felony tracking takes extra care. The Justice docket may show the initial appearance or preliminary stage. The later Superior Court docket carries a different number after an indictment or information. Search both Kingman levels when the case path calls for it. Never merge two case numbers into one history. Remember that a dismissal of one charge does not close every count. Each charge and disposition stands on its own.
Calendars deserve the same scrutiny. A Kingman setting can be reset, continued, or canceled after an older entry was saved. So match the current calendar to the newest notice and the complete number. Jury instructions may send you to Pine Street while a copy request belongs at Spring Street. Municipal business stays on Fourth Street, and Justice business stays on Beale Street.
If a search comes up empty, drop guessed punctuation. Check the spelling, pick the exact Kingman court, and widen the name search. Then call the proper clerk. A sealed case can be absent remotely, probate is intentionally excluded from Public Access, and a missing image may still have a public event. Each of those calls for a different follow-up question, so never lump them into a flat verdict of no Kingman record.
